Record of Service:
John Anderson was born on the 3rd of April 1913 in Yarloop, Western Australia. He enlisted in the 2nd A.I.F on the 24th of April 1940 and was allocated service number WX2156. He was Taken on Strength with the 2/31st Battalion on the 7th of March 1941.
John’s service dossier is yet to be accessed through the NAA site, so his exact service details are not known. However he remained in the army post WW2 and was re-allocated service number 51982. He was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal as a Sergeant with the R.A.S.C in 1962. Promulgated in the Commonwealth Gazette No. 38 on the 17th of May 1962 page 1658.
John died in Karrakatta, W.A on the 4th of December 1967.
