Record of Service:
Charles Frank was born on the 17th of November 1892 in Warwick, Queensland. He was working as a Labourer in Newcastle when he enlisted in the A.I.F on the 31st of May 1915. He was allocated service number 2348 and embarked from Sydney on the 14th of July 1915, with the 7th Reinforcements, 3rd Battalion.
Charles was taken on strength with the 3rd Battalion at ANZAC on the 2nd of September 1915 and was evacuated to Malta (suffering from Dysentery) on the 26th of September 1915. He returned to his Battalion on the 6th of March 1916 and embarked to join the B.E.F on the 22nd of March 1916.
Charles was Killed in Action at Pozieres on the 23rd of July 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France. His sister claimed his ANZAC Commemorative Medallion on the 21st of July 1967.
