    Record of Service:

     

    George Denham was born about 1893 in Carlton, Victoria. He was working as a Motor Mechanic when he enlisted in the A.I.F on the 20th of February 1917. He was allocated service number 17533 and embarked from Sydney on the 2nd of August 1917 with the 28th Reinforcements AMC.

     

    George disembarked at Glasgow on the 2nd of October 1917 and proceeded overseas to France on the 2nd of November 1917. On the 17th of November he was taken on strength with the 3rd Australian General Hospital.

     

    George survived the war and returned to Australia on the 1st of April 1919 and was discharged on the 14th of June 1919. He died in 1979.
