Note: "5 Rein" has been scratched out, but still legible.

James McDowall embarked with the 5th Reinforcements, 7th L.H.R. on the 21/05/1915. Posted as Trooper to Regiment on the 01/08/15 to Gallipoli 06/08/15. He was evacuated from Gallipoli with dysentry on the 21/09/15 and discharged M.U. on the 06/09/16.
