Graham Old was born in Stutton, UK on the 3rd of March 1940 and emigrated to Australia on the 3rd of March 1949. He was a Police Cadet when he enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy on the 3rd of March 1957. Graham was allocated Official Number R53026 and joined HMAS Cerberus as a Recruit Seaman on the 26th of April 1957.
On the 18th of November 1957 Graham joined HMAS Quickmatch and on the 28th of July 1958 joined HMAS Melbourne. Graham spent the majority of his sea time in the RAN on HMAS Melbourne, who was part of the Far East Strategic Reserve. Towards the end of his engagement Graham spent time on HMAS Snipe before being discharged from the RAN on the 2nd of March 1964.
Graham died on the 30th of September 2016.
