William Hunter was born on the 24th of February 1930 in Pemberton, Western Australia.
William joined the Australian Regular Army and was allocated service number 51422, he served in Korea with the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment from the 12th of January 1955 to the 24th of March 1956.
William was awarded the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, as a Warrant Officer Class II, on the 10th of July 1969. COA Gazette. No.58 page 4023.
He died on the 6th of February 2001.
