    Thomas Morgan was born on the 20th of March 1890 in Brisbane, Queensland. He was working as a Barman when he enlisted in the A.I.F on the 11th of October 1916. He was allocated service number 2618 and embarked from Brisbane on the 17th of November 1916 with the 5th Reinforcements, 41st Battalion.

     

    Thomas disembarked at Plymouth on the 30th of January 1917 and was admitted to hospital (V.D) on the 15th of February 1917. On the 18th of July 1917 he proceeded overseas to France and was Wounded in Action (details not recorded) on the 5th of August 1917. He returned to the 41st Battalion on the 15th of August 1917 where he served until, he was Wounded in Action, 2nd occasion (Gassed) on the 26th of May 1918.

     

    On the 8th of June 1918 Thomas returned to his Battalion where he continued to serve until the end of the war. He returned to Australia on the 12th of June 1919 and was discharged on the 19th of September 1919. Sadly, he was to die the following year on the 9th of October 1920, when he fell from a tram and fractured his skull.
