Record of Service:
Robert Carlile was born on the 11th of December 1880 in Goondiwindi, Queensland. He enlisted in the A.I.F on the 26th of December 1914 and was allocated service number 123. Robert was an original member of the 11th Light Horse Regiment and served in “A” Company.
Robert embarked from Brisbane on the 2nd of June 1915 with the 11th Light Horse Regiment. On the 3rd of August 1915 he was sent back to Australia from Suez, suffering from VD. He was discharged from the 1st M.D on the 4th of October 1915, medically unfit.
He died on the 18th of September 1957.
