Record of Service:
Stuart Done was born on the 27th of June 1924 in Brisbane, Queensland. He was working as a Bank Officer when he enlisted in the RAAF on the 4th of December 1942. Stuart was allocated service number 434452 and joined 3 Initial Training School at Kingaroy on the 4th of December 1942.
Stuart was selected for Air Crew training as a Pilot and received his “Flying Badge” on the 25th of August 1943. After spending time at numerous training locations in Australia, Stuart embarked from Sydney on the 4th of November 1943 for the U.K. He was promoted to Pilot Officer on the 13th of October 1944 and Flying Officer on the 13th of April 1945.
Following further training in the U.K, Stuart was posted for Operational Duties with 622 Squadron on the 23rd of February 1945. He flew a total of 57 hours on daylight bombing missions in Lancasters.
Stuart survived the war and discharged from the RAAF upon demobilization on the 11th of December 1945. Post war he transferred to the Active Reserve and on the 31st of March 1954 transferred to the General Reserve. He died at the Gold Coast in 2009.

His medals are newly swing mounted (obviously to accommodate the award of his ADM). Included are his original miniature medals (also swing mounted) and the 60th Anniversary of the end of WW1 Medallion.
