    Record of Service:

     

    Richard Pacey was born on the 8th of November 1898 in Gympie, Queensland. He was working as a Farmer when he enlisted in the A.I.F on the 17th of April 1917. He was allocated service number 7591 and embarked from Sydney with the 25th Reinforcements, 9th Battalion.

     

    Richard disembarked at Liverpool on the 25th of August 1917 and proceeded overseas to France on the 18th of December 1917. On the 24th of December 1917 he was taken on strength with the 41st Battalion.

     

    Richard survived the war and returned to Australia on the 12th of June 1919. He died in Gympie on the 23rd of September 1955.
