Clarence White was born about 1884 in St Ebbes, Oxfordshire, England. He enlisted in the British Army and was allocated service number 6934. He served with the 2nd Battalion, Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry during WW1.
Clarence landed in Boulogne with the rest of the Battalion on the 14th of August 1914. He was with the Battalion at the First Battle of Marne (September 1914) and was Killed in Action on the 14th of September 1914. At this time his Battalion had just crossed the Aisne and held a section of the line in front of La Cour de Soupir.
Clarence has no known grave and is remembered on the La Ferte-Sous-Jouarre Memorial, France.
